Teen Wolf: 'Fireflies' (3x03)

Rabid werewolves on the loose! Sweet children are out in the woods catching fireflies (episode title!) when Boyd comes to attack. Scott luckily is there to save them, and also throws a jar of fireflies at Boyd which is some kind of werewolf deterrent it seems.
Scott and Derek get help from Isaac to round up Cora and Boyd. Isaac almost gets to Cora when she comes across a tent in the woods with a lesbian couple trying to get it on. One of them is having hallucinations of bugs, and runs off into the woods and disappears.

Lydia leaves to go to the store after she woke up screaming in the night mysteriously (although I'm also concerned with the fact that she got up from bed looking very put together in a dress...who even does that??) Anyway she ends up at the high school pool- no idea how she got there, and finds a dead body in the lifeguard stand.

There's a flashback that Allison has of what happened last episode: Scott explaining why he didn't tell her about her mother trying to kill him. It's kind of a sweet moment where Scott says that he didn't want that to be the last memory she had of her mom. Can we get a collective 'awwww?'
Scott decides to ask Chris Argent for help in trapping Cora and Boyd and gets held at gunpoint in the process. But Chris Argent agrees, reluctantly, and I think with more time these 2 could be tight. So Scott, Isaac, Derek, and Chris Argent are working together to trap the werewolves- and it might be my favorite part of the episode that Argent know more about werewolves than the werewolves themselves do. LOL. But they decide to corral them in the high school, because there's no one in the high school at night, right? Wrong!

Peter kinda pops out of nowhere in the woods to convince Derek to 'let Scott be the hero' because Peter and Derek are 'morally gray' while Scott is 'black and white.' Please Peter get out of here with your bullshit. He doesn't care if Boyd and Cora live or die, and I have no idea what he's up to, but I know it's nothing good.
In the meantime Stiles goes to the hospital to meet with Mama McCall, and she shows him the body of the dead boy that Lydia found. It's obvious that it wasn't a werewolf that killed him- sliced throat and a corner of his head bashed in. Then she shows him the body of a girl that the same thing happened to, who end up being Heather, Stiles' childhood friend who's party he was at. Stiles is really upset and he should NEVER cry again (but it was really good acting I thought)!

Everyone else (basically) is able to trap Cora and Boyd in the high school boiler room, with a little bit of unexpected help from Allison, who should just keep on being her bad self with her arrows and such. When Scott and Derek realize there's a teacher in the boiler room with Cora and Boyd, Derek goes in, thinking that either they'll kill him or vice versa.
Luckily neither of those options occur! Derek gets super beat up but he lives, the sun comes up and both Boyd and Cora are out. Derek goes to find the teacher, who is the one that had the birds in her classroom....and I'm definitely seeing the possible love interest here!

We see the girl that disappeared from the tent and she has been killed in the same way as the other 2 people- with the throat slit and head bashed. Stiles has a theory and I think it's a pretty good one...human (VIRGIN) sacrifices!! What's up with that? Need to know more!

Odds and Ends:
1. Isaac! He was so great this episode for some reason, maybe it was his jacket and big scarf. And also when he was in the car with Derek asking about his sister. In the words of MTV Teen Wolf twitter- TOO SOON.
2. Maybe this is a long shot but I think the teacher that was in the school late at night might be in on some kind of malicious activities, could be a coincidence but why is she staying so late on the SECOND day of school? Seems fishy.

That's all for now! And I'm more on top of these reviews this week :)
