Teen Wolf: 'Chaos Rising' (3x02)

Unfortunately I missed the live premiere Monday night, but it was on demand on Xfinity so I woke up early to watch on Tuesday! And wow this was a great episode, lots of new things happening, I even watched it twice :X
Apologies for the late review- went to the shore and no internet there, everything is a mess!


 Now for the recap...

Anyway- what first happened was Stiles and Scott going to a party for Stiles' preschool friend Heather, who has grown up to be a pretty blonde girl and is dying to lose her v-card for her birthday. She takes (a confused but excited) Stiles into the empty basement with her, but when he goes upstairs to grab a condom she is gone! She was mysteriously taken out the basement window after wine bottles were smashed on the floor. But when Stiles goes back down, no signs of broken bottles! A big mystery for now.

Derek has a new place, good for him for moving out of his burnt down shell of a home! He and Isaac are there and have Peter help extract memories from Isaac using a dangerous method...claws to the back of the neck?? But it doesn't really work- the memories are hazy and hard to make things out. Another method will be used in a bit.

But back at school, Allison and Lydia show Derek the mark that the girl left on their arms in the previous episode because they think it is a pattern. It doesn't go over well because Derek is a 'sourwolf.' There has also been some miscommunication since last season- Allison doesn't know the real reason Derek bit her mother and still blames him for her death! Hopefully this will all be resolved soon.

Now for the alternate method of getting at Isaac's memories- ice bath until he is near death! Poor Isaac. At least Deaton is present as well, and it ends up being successful. We find out that Erica and Boyd are being held in a deserted bank. Oh yeah and that Erica is dead! (I'm not believing it until there is more evidence, too many people are brought back on this show.)

Go go rescue squad- now Boyd (and Erica?) need to be saved before the full moon, which is of course that night. Stiles gets a map of the bank and uses a previous bank robbery as a guideline for them to get in undetected. Scott and Derek are the ones doing the rescuing since they're the werewolves. ALSO Allison went there after school because she figured out the pattern on her arm could be a logo...and it was the bank logo! Smart girl!

So Allison was told to hide in a closet by Ms. Morrell, a high school teacher who has some kind of relation to Deaton. Who knows if she is being blackmailed or has turned to the dark side, but I'm leaning towards blackmailed or something of that sort.

When Derek and Scott get inside the vault, they get a call from Stiles and Peter who have just discovered that the vault is made of a special kind of stone that completely blocks moonlight. Meaning that Boyd (and other) will be rabid and bloodthirsty at fist sight of the full moon! To make matters worse, Ms. Morrell traps them all in the vault with mountain ash OH NO!

A female werewolf is standing behind Boyd and it's obviously not Erica, and Derek tells Scott that it's his little sister, Cora (who he thought had died in the fire along with the rest of his family a long long time ago). But no happy family reunion to see here, only fighting.

Allison comes out when the fighting starts and breaks open the circle of mountain ash, despite Derek's protests. Boyd and Cora run off, Derek is pissed at Allison and vice versa, and Scott has some explaining to do. Then Lydia wakes up in the night screaming! End.

So what I want to know:
Why is Ms. Morrell helping the alpha pack? What's the deal with Cora and will she and Derek at least be able to have a happy reunion for a little? Where did Heather go and who took her? Why did Lydia scream, did she know what was going on subconsciously?

Since this was so late, I'm pleased that there will be a new episode tomorrow! That review will be up sooner for sure.
