Rabid werewolves on the loose! Sweet children are out in the woods catching fireflies (episode title!) when Boyd comes to attack. Scott luckily is there to save them, and also throws a jar of fireflies at Boyd which is some kind of werewolf deterrent it seems.
Scott and Derek get help from Isaac to round up Cora and Boyd. Isaac almost gets to Cora when she comes across a tent in the woods with a lesbian couple trying to get it on. One of them is having hallucinations of bugs, and runs off into the woods and disappears.

True Blood: 'Who Are You, Really?' (6x01)
Season premiere time! I've been watching True Blood for a few years, not since it has aired but for awhile. Each year it gets crazier and crazier, introducing new mythical creatures like were-panters and faeries....hopefully this season won't disappoint! I had to watch on HBO Go, but that was better than watching on some streaming site, still no HBO at home!

Teen Wolf: 'Chaos Rising' (3x02)
Unfortunately I missed the live premiere Monday night, but it was on demand on Xfinity so I woke up early to watch on Tuesday! And wow this was a great episode, lots of new things happening, I even watched it twice :X
Apologies for the late review- went to the shore and no internet there, everything is a mess!

Game of Thrones: 'Mhysa' (3x10)
No new Game of Thrones episodes for another year! It sure goes by so fast. Compared to the previous episode, anything would've been less exciting (except for the purple wedding anyone? But that will be next season.)
The first scene showing the Freys parading around with Grey Wind's head on Robb's body was unexpected, I didn't think they would show that scene on the show! The worst part about it was that Arya saw the whole thing. But Arya ends up getting a bit of revenge when she comes across some of the participants in the Red Wedding and kills the men with the help of the Hound. It was a bit of foreshadowing of who Arya will become, and it will be awesome!
I'm not going in order with what happened because I just don't remember- so many characters that it goes back and forth between.
So on Dragonstone: Davos releases Gendry when he knows that Gendry will be sacrificed by Melisandre to the God of Light. There was a lot more insight into Davos that was interesting; he and Gendry started off similarly in Flea Bottom, the slums of King's Landing. Stannis is furious when he finds out and orders Davos' death, but when Melisandre looks into the flames and sees that the battle is not going to be against the other kings but against the white walkers in the north, and decides that Davos should live. I'm very much looking forward to them going north to the Wall.
Speaking of the Wall, Jon Snow is on his way back to the Nights Watch when Ygritte finds him. She is very obviously feeling betrayed, and shoots Jon with 3 arrows before he escapes from her and makes it back to the Wall.
Bran and his entourage make it through the Wall and in the meantime run into Sam and Gilly. Sam figures out that Bran is Jon Snow's brother (now the first one besides Theon to know that he is still alive!!) Sam and Gilly make it to Maester Aemon, and Gilly and her baby will stay as guests at the Wall. This is also leading up to something, but I won't spoil it.
We got to see Theon (Reek) this week, who is still being tortured, and it is revealed that his torturer is Ramsay Snow, the bastard of Bolton, a betrayer of Robb Stark and the North. Certainly we now know they're a family to be reckoned with. It also makes me quite uncomfortable that the Bolton house sigil is a flayed man. A 'part' of Theon is sent to the Greyjoys on the Iron Islands, and his sister is going to make a valiant move to rescue him from Ramsay.
In King's Landing, Joffrey is still being a complete terror of a King, but Tywin Lannister, terrifying as he always is, puts him in his place. Tywin also always has a way of making his son Tyrion feel worse about himself, and says that he wanted to throw him into the sea when he was born. Picture perfect family right there.....not.
The final scene of the show brought us to Daenerys where she is waiting at the gates of Yunkai for the slaves that she freed to leave the city. They all say 'Mhysa' which means 'mother' and carry her through the crowd.
I know I'm forgetting some parts but hopefully nothing too important. This episode was more for tying up loose ends rather than starting up anything new. It would've been interesting if they had ended this season with the Red Wedding rather than it having been the previous episode and left a crazy cliffhanger, but I am looking forward to next season and seeing the second half of A Storm of Swords onscreen!

Teen Wolf: 'Tattoo' (3x01)
I'm fairly new to Teen Wolf, I started watching the first season a few weeks ago with my sister when we found it on demand at home, and the rest is history! (2 seasons in 3 days #nolife WHAT WHAT)
However, it's a show I had been meaning to watch, and marathoning shows is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
The third season started off with Isaac, one of Derek's betas, on a motorcycle with a mysterious girl, both trying to escape from two alpha werewolf twins chasing them. We learned at the end of last season that a whole pack of alpha werewolves are now in Beacon Hills, and it seems like they will be the main villains for season 3.
The twin werewolves have this weird ability where they can come together and turn into one giant werewolf...I hope we find out more about this soon. The girl (does she have a name?) and Isaac escape from the mega-alpha twin because of a stun gun she uses, but they end up in the hospital. Isaac's fast healing werewolf abilities make for confusion at the hospital, but luckily Scott's mom is his nurse.
We find Scott and Stiles at a tattoo parlor, Scott attempting to get a tattoo, but it heals and goes away. (Fun fact- it's the actor's actual tattoo that they are working into a storyline). Scott has been getting his act together: reading books, doing 'teenager' things, and staying away from Allison all summer!
Meanwhile, animals have been acting very strange in Beacon Hills. A deer runs through the windshield of Lydia's car, Lydia's dog bit her for the first time ever, and a flock of crows flies though a classroom window. But are these occurrences because of Lydia or the alpha pack that's in town?
Scott goes to get Isaac from the hospital, which is infested with the alpha pack. Kali, one of the alphas goes after the unknown girl, and another goes after Isaac. Scott tries to rescue Isaac, there's a cool fight scene in an elevator (with the signature dubstep music WUB WUB WUB) but Scott is no match for an alpha, so Derek to the rescue! He has his sassy one-liners, and he and Scott take Isaac to Derek's crumbling shell of a house. Derek gives Scott his tattoo with a blowtorch, ouch, and there is a bit of Derek and Stiles bromance (yes I'm a fan of that).
I was upset that the unknown girl that helped Isaac was killed off so soon, but maybe she won't actually be dead? The new villain Deucalion is intriguing, I want to find out more about him.
Odds & Ends:
1. Jackson shouldn't have been written out, I wish Colton Haynes stayed on the show! So much potential with last season's finale.
2. I was bothered by the alphas that weren't wearing shoes in the hospital! Wouldn't a nurse or doctor or someone notice that? Plot hole.
Maybe it's not the greatest show, the CGI isn't great but that somehow makes it endearing? It's a fun show with an exciting plot, interesting and complex characters, and even though it's an MTV show I'm a big fan. My biggest complaint is all of the commercials! But maybe I'm just spoiled from the premium channels. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm looking forward to this season have 24 episodes rather than the usual 12!

Game of Thrones: 'The Rains of Castamere' (3x09)
**Spolier Alert** - If you haven't seen the episode, read at your own risk!
I'll start off by saying that I have read all 5 of the books currently in George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones series, so I knew what was coming in this highly anticipated episode featuring the infamous Red Wedding. (Now all non-book readers know what it means!) But even though I knew it was coming, there was no way to be fully prepared for the carnage at the Twins.
The wedding started out innocently enough, with Edmure Tully being pleasantly surprised with his match Roslin Frey, one of Walder Frey's many daughters. Things were going swimmingly, but after the bride and groom left and the doors to the wedding hall were shut and locked....all downhill from there. Something added for the show was having Robb's wife, Talisa present, and her gruesome death just added to the horror of the scene. Catelyn pleading with Walder Frey to spare her son's life was heartbreaking and tremendously acted. When Roose Bolton, Robb's bannerman, gave the final blow and killed Robb- it was rough. I was anticipating the Red Wedding so much I hardly remember what was going on with the other storylines!
Daenerys sent Jorah, Grey Worm, and Daario Naharis into Yunkai where they battled the guards and overtook the city. Daario, at least so far, has proven himself trustworthy, and the attraction between him and Dany is obvious, and I'm looking forward to see where the show takes this.
Jon Snow finally shows his loyalty to the Night's Watch and abandons the wildlings, including his lover, Ygritte. :( It kills me about how close he was to Bran and Rickon, but of course there was no happy reunion. Bran and Rickon also split apart this episode, where Bran will be trying to go beyond the Wall and Rickon will be heading south.
Speaking of narrowly missed reunions, I can't forget about Arya. The Hound is returning her to her mother and brother at the Twins, but they arrive during the Red Wedding. She sees her brother's direwolf get killed, her mother and brother have just been killed moments ago, and previously had seen her father beheaded. Arya can't seem to catch a break.
I don't think I'll be watching this episode again anytime soon, unless I want to wallow in pain and misery.
But just for fun, here's a compilation of reactions to the Red Wedding. I get perverse amusement out this.

And only the season finale left! Season 3 sure went by fast!
EDIT- Can't believe I forgot to mention the silence during the credits. That was haunting.
First Post
Hi all! So this blog is mainly going to be used to review/recap my favorite television shows as they air, currently being Game of Thrones and Teen Wolf (and later on True Blood, Dexter, Breaking Bad, and Supernatural)- hopefully I'll stick with this and make it all the way to reviewing Supernatural, which will be in the fall.
I'll also probably post random things about myself or my friends/family if anything exciting is going on in my life, but I'll be starting off with a review of the latest Game of Thrones episode, 'The Rains of Castamere,' which was a big one!
